Here is the result of my environment art project at Toronto Film School. The goal of this assignment was to learn about the different roles and responsibilities in creating a game level. We were given a level design document as a base with a lot of room for interpretation. A medieval village was described in the prompt, and I chose to create the Tavern. Throughout the course we learned how to block out our level, and then create a modular kit once the major shapes seemed correct. We focused on optimizing UV unwraps to save on texture usage. Extra assets and textures were used from Quixel Bridge to dress our scene. Vertex painting was also utilized in this scene.
This course really opened my eyes to the workflow and process of creating a game level. I really enjoyed creating this scene.
